I couldn’t wait. After spending hours completing an online course and two days in the pool, I was ready to scuba dive in open water. Scuba Tech instructors were leading the dive, and taking us out to East Jetty in Destin. After weeks of enjoying the above-water environment along the Emerald Coast, I felt so excited to finally see what was underwater!

We set off from Harbor Docks, carefully setting up our equipment and connecting our air tanks to our regulators and BCD, the vest we wear to connect everything together and aid in flotation. As we neared the beach near the jetties, the water shone and small fish were literally leaping out of the water.
