I arrived at Okaloosa Island’s Public Beach Access #7 at 9 a.m., quickly grabbing my camera and hurrying to the beach. A crowd had already formed on the sugar-sand, lined up behind ticker-tape and creating a large “V” out into the Gulf of Mexico. We were waiting for the sea turtles.
